Suzy Boon is the kind of person every school hopes to have, and every community depends on. As our administrative assistant and secretary, she brings a level of dedication that goes far beyond her job description. Suzy is deeply committed to our students, our staff, and the overall well-being of our community, always working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. She is the heart of this building, and as many say, “If Suzy doesn’t know it, you don’t need to know it.”

She has an incredible ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they ever reach the surface. Whether it’s supporting a student in need, assisting a colleague, or handling the countless details that keep a school functioning, Suzy does it all with care, efficiency, and grace. She is truly on call at all times, stepping in wherever she is needed without hesitation.

Brenda Kerr, our dedicated school bookkeeper, who spends countless hours ensuring that our financial records are accurate, organized, and compliant with all necessary regulations. She takes the time to guide and inform staff on the complexities and legal responsibilities of bookkeeping, helping everyone better understand the “why” behind the processes.

We are incredibly fortunate to have both Suzy Boon and Brenda Kerr as part of our team. Their dedication, integrity, and care make a lasting difference in our school community, and we are sincerely thankful for all that they do each and every day

MARCH 2026 - SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNITION MONTH
Missourians benefit every day from the dedicated energies and countless hours devoted by the more than 3,600 local school board members in every community across the state. These public servants are elected by local constituents and do not receive compensation for their tireless efforts. As citizens who serve students and represent their communities, school board members face complex and demanding challenges.
During the month of March, communities across the state will honor the dedicated service of local boards of education during School Board Recognition Month as proclaimed by Governor Kehoe.
“Local school boards play a vital leadership role in providing our students with the finest possible education,” says MSBA Executive Director Melissa Randol. “We thank school board members for their commitment to their communities and to the students in their school districts across Missouri.”
School Board Recognition Month is sponsored by the Missouri School Boards’ Association. The Missouri School Boards’ Association is a private, not-for-profit organization that exists to help school boards ensure all students succeed.
